Welcome to My Fun Place

This is a fall arrangement done with hurricane glass                      globes sitting in wrought iron holders and a bouquet of fall colored leaves
purchased

at the dollar store.
(I am a Dollar Store Junkie). They have lots of really
cute little home decor items for folks to play around
with.
I did this one at Christmas Time to fill a
bare spot in
the hallway. All these candles can be found on  this
website. The little Christmas Trees are especially
cute for a table top piece. They can be painted in different
colors to match your dinner table or wherever you
are g
oing to place them.
I put this grouping of apples on the bar
area. You can't imagine the folks that
came into the kitchen and picked one up
thinking they were real. You really can't
blame them because they look and smell
like real apples!!! The fragrance is MacIntosh Apple.

This fall arrangement was just done about
a month ago(August 2007). The candles are scented
with Pumpkin Spice and smell wonderful. Makes
you hungry for some Pumpkin Pie!! There
are 5 different shape candles on the tray
with colorful fall leaves. The tray that this
sits on is a 12" Charger Plate. The wax I used
was Crystalizing Palm Oil Wax in a Burnt
Orange. Really beautiful!!

It was Easter before I realized it,
so I poured a few Easter Egg votives
and put them on a bed of green grass!
This is the centerpiece that I used for
Thanksgiving 2006. It was done with a
wrought iron candle holder w/rounded plates
two low side and two high middle plates. The
were tall on the sides and shorter in the middle.
I used 1 1/2" diameter candles for it. I also
used a couple of picture candles with Halloween
scenes on them. The cornucopia was from a previous
years decorations. I also got a couple of small
pumpkins at the grocery store.
 This year I made some!

This was done at the same time as the nest of
Easter Egg votive candles. I used a 3 1/2" x 5"
picture candle and a few votive eggs on a bed of
cello grass! Those sat on the end tables through Easter!
I really had lots of fun with this centerpiece.
This was also done on the wrought
  iron Candle Holder
that I used for the Thanksgiving piece. I used 2
square candles and two round dome top candles in Red
and Green. The scents were Pine and Cinnamon. I used
a couple of bouquets of poinsettias and used a wire
cutter to cut them apart so that I could place them
were I wanted them. Very Pretty once I got done!
This one I just loved. I found the ceramic
cherubs at an antique shop. It hadn't been cleaned up yet and
was blue at the time I got it andI saw lots of potential. I spray
painted it ivory and bought a glass plate for the cherubs to hold.
The candle is a 4 x 4 round candle. Scented with Angel's Whisper.
I surrounded it with potpourri. Unfortunately, this
piece had a gigantic accident. I had it on the coffee table and
I bumped into the corner of it and couldn't catch it in time and
it smashed to pieces.
Now I am on the look out for another one.

This one was a surprise from my husband. Some-
had left this out on top of the garbage can so
when he delivered the newspaper, he picked it
up and brought it home for me! Wow, what a find!!
It had never been out of the box. I surrounded it
with Lemon Potpourri ( The potpourri that I bought didn't have
enough lemon slices it so I looked on the internet and found out
how to make more) and inserted a Lemon Scented
candle in the Hurricane Globe and it's Good to Go!!

I put this Floating Candle-scape together this morning
to show different ways of using floating candles. I colored
the water purple, although, in the picture it doesn't show
up that well. I also surrounded the bowl with extra
flowers. You can change the colors to go with your decor
or suit your mood. A am plannning on doing more of these
in the future so that it will give you different ideas on ways
to use them. The variety is as large as your imagination will
take you.
I saw this done in a craft book. It takes 2 ea. of 3 1/2" clay
saucers, 1 " Wood Beads and paints in different colors to either match the pic or
do a design of your own on them. Paint them with a base coat of buttermilk cream, and paint as shown.
The candle is a 3 1/2" ball candle and can be found here. You can either trace
a pattern on the candle or you can do it free hand. Or if you prefer you can buy
this candle already done. You can purchase here. What ever way you get this candle and candle holder it would be a nice addition to any home decor. These would make
great Christmas gifts or Birthday gifts as well!

I have always loved to do crafts, and anything that anyone
would like to contribute would be great! Send me an email
with a picture and how you put your project together.
We can all have fun with this!
These also make great gifts, so let's  get out there and get
busy and send me what you have created!
